How we begin
We meet you for half an hour, hear what has prompted the work and decide together whether there is a sensible brief to pursue.
You receive a short proposal with a fixed fee, named team and milestones, so your board or finance team can test it properly.

Our story
Reform Advisory Studio was set up by consultants who had spent years inside large transformation programmes and grew tired of watching good intentions founder on poor groundwork. Too often the strategy was sound, the funding was real, and the change still stalled because nobody had asked the people delivering the service what they actually did all day. We wanted to work differently, and smaller.
The practice is deliberately modest in size. We take on a handful of engagements at a time, which means the people who win the work are the people who do it. There is no pyramid of junior staff learning your service at your expense, and no account manager standing between you and the analysis. If we say a partner will be in the room, a partner will be in the room.
Our work sits with local authorities, arm's-length bodies, health partnerships and central government teams. The subject matter varies, from children's services to waste collection to digital casework, but the shape of the problem is familiar. Services are under pressure, budgets are fixed, staff are weary, and the political cover for change is thinner than it was. We plan for that reality rather than around it.
We are not a software supplier and we do not resell anyone's platform. What we bring is method: a disciplined way of mapping how a service really works, testing options against cost and feasibility, and leaving your team with the documentation to carry the work on after we go. That last part matters to us more than repeat business.
The company trades as REFORMATION MANAGEMENT LTD and works under the name Reform Advisory Studio. We hold professional indemnity cover, we are comfortable with public sector procurement routes, and we will tell you plainly when a commission is not one we should take. A short list of what we decline is set out further down this page.
We reply within two working days, and the first conversation costs nothing.
Where we stop
On the ground
Most of our time is spent in your offices, depots and contact centres, watching how a service runs and asking the awkward questions early. It is slower than reading a performance report, and considerably more useful.
