The questions we are asked before the first meeting

We work only with public sector bodies and the arms-length organisations around them: councils, combined authorities, health trusts, fire and rescue services, and the transformation teams inside them. We are an advisory studio, not a delivery contractor. That means we help you decide what to change, design how it should work, and then stand beside your own people as they make it happen rather than taking the work away from them.

Reformation Management Ltd trades as Reform Advisory Studio, and the two names refer to the same small practice. Most of our engagements start with a single conversation about a service that is under pressure, a restructure that needs grounds, or a business case that has to survive scrutiny from members and finance. We ask blunt questions early because it is far cheaper to test an assumption in week one than to unpick it in month six.

This page answers the questions that come up in that first conversation: how we charge, what we need from your team, how a short piece of work sits alongside a longer one, and what we do when a programme is already part-way through and going badly. The answers are written plainly because we would rather you ruled us in or out quickly than spent an hour on a call finding out.
