Before you engage

Questions we are asked before a first meeting

What size of public body do you usually work with?

We take on work from local authorities, arms-length bodies, NHS trusts and central government teams. Size matters less than whether you have a mandate to change and people who can carry it. If we are not the right fit, we will say so at the first call.

How do you charge for a transformation programme?

We price by phase, not by the hour. You get a fixed fee for each stage, with the scope written down and the assumptions in plain sight. If the work grows beyond that scope, we agree a change note before anyone picks up the extra load.

Do you work alongside our existing staff or replace them?

Alongside, always. We bring capacity and method, not a shadow team. Your people hold the knowledge and the relationships, and the change only sticks if they own it. We leave the capability behind when we go.

Can you start next month, and what does mobilisation look like?

Usually yes, if diaries allow. The first fortnight is discovery: reading your plans, meeting the people who run the service, and testing what is actually possible. We then bring a short plan to your board before any delivery starts.

What information do you need from us to begin?

Your current strategy or improvement plan, any recent inspection or audit findings, and a named lead who can make decisions. If those are thin on the ground, we will help you pull them together as part of the discovery phase.

How do you handle sensitive information and data protection?

We work under your information governance rules, sign your confidentiality agreements and keep data within your systems wherever possible. Our privacy policy sets out how we handle anything we hold ourselves, and we are happy to answer questions before you share anything sensitive.

How we engage

Four steps from first conversation to lasting change

Step 3

Deliver alongside your teams

We work in your offices and on your systems, bringing method and extra hands. Progress is reviewed fortnightly with your lead, and we flag risks while they are still small.

Step 4

Hand over and step back

We document what changed, train the people who will run it and agree a light-touch check-in. The aim is for you to need us less, not more.

Where we stop

The work we do not take on

What we offer

The practical work of transforming public services

Performance and outcome frameworks

We help you choose a small set of measures that tell the truth about whether things are improving, and we set up the routines that keep them current.
